Why was the CPU replaced? Did you change CPU speeds?

Hi, this was a good working board. I had been using same cpu and ram. I swapped cpu with a known good one, upgarded the ram by 128mb for a total of 312mb. no speaker so not sure about the beep. Turn on and HD spins lites on keyboard flash,and cd/dvd drives lite and run. But no display or keyboard activity. Thanks for any help.

Can you be more specific? I'm guessing this is a new motherboard that you've installed; is it also a new CPU and RAM? What happens when you turn it on? Does the hard drive spin? If so, do you hear the beep after the hard drive is on for a second that implies that it's trying to load the operating system?

We need to know this in order to determine whether the problem you're having is the motherboard itself, some other piece of hardware, or the onboard video card.

No display, acts dead. Any help or suggestions?
