http://www.imgburn.com/ is another tool in most toolkits. Use it the same way, may a copy of the original to an .ISO file, then use the same app to write the .ISO to the blank DVD. And no you CANT just use copy/paste to move the iso over.

and toss the first attempt. For a good show, stick the DVD (the bad copy) in the microwave for 10 seconds on full power. wont hurt it the microwave, but be sure to stay there and watch it!

To make an exact copy, use DVDDecryptor ( http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/) and perform an ISO READ of it to your harddrive for safe keeping. Once you have it as an ISO file, then insert your blank DVD, and perform an ISO WRITE using the newly created ISO file. It will be a 1:1 copy of the entire DVD.
the software above is free, virus free, and in use by probably millions (or has been at one time..)
Here is a tutorial - should work fine for your use: http://www.dvd-guides.com/c...iew/22/59/

I have a dvd of a family reunion that is non copyrighted that someone let me borrow to make copies of. I am pretty much computer illiterate and don't know how to do this. I tried to burn a copy using copy and paste and it says it burned it but I can't get anything to come up on the dvd I burnt it to. It just says temporary files.
When I try to play the DVD i burned it brings up a menu to play but nothing will play. I guess I need to start over. Can I reuse the DVD I messed up or do I need to throw it out and start with a fresh one?
The original dvd says RW DVD. The video is 120 mins. The disc I tried to burn to is memorex DVD R 120 minutes. If anyone can tell me step by step what to do I would appreciate it. I have windows media player and windows dvd maker on my computer if that is any help. I would also consider taking it to Walmart if they do this, but I don't want to leave the original with them because if it gets lost or messed up I would feel horrible.
