If you would delete all your p**n, you wouldn't have this issue.

You may actually have low disc space. Months of unpurged emails and attachments, rarely used applications and their updates, pictures, compressed pictures and so on ... stuff that can eventually use up your available disc space.

You should consider first backing up your drive. Next purge all unneed programs and emails. Run defrag several times, then chkdsk to **** available space.

It may be necessary to add another drive or replace yours with a larger drive. If you do end up with another HD, consider partitioning it and placing the OS on one partition by itself, your programs and data on other partitions so you can stay abreast of your disc storage needs.

There is a registry value you can set to disable this feature. To disable low disk space checks, follow these steps, log off, and then log on again: Follow these steps, and then quit Registry Editor:Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.Locate and then click the following key in the registry:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ExplorerOn the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.Type NoLowDiskSpaceChecks, and then press ENTER.On the Edit menu, click Modify.Type 1, and then click OK.

Sassy. Also check the box you see that says delete browsing history on exit. This will help to keep it clean

Sassy, you might also want to try using Google Chrome as your browser. Less problems. You can download Google from Filehippo.com for free

Gowilkes is correct. Explorer by default sets this at 1024. It should be between 50 and 250

If you're using Internet Explorer, then I also recommend that you lower your cache setting. In your browser, go to Tools > Options, then under "Browsing History" click on "Settings". Change the "Disk space to use" field to somewhere between 25 and 50.

I've seen people have this number to be well over 1GB, taking up a massive amount of space for internet cache.

Try uninstalling old programs you no longer use to free up some space on your hard drive..

click on your c drive and see how much free space you have. that message, and the frequency indicates you only have around 80MB of free space.

One time I saw this, and it was because someone was burning DVDs, and instead of the temp files were not deleting, causing him to lose space

I keep getting this error every night..sometimes several times a night...What do you guys think could be causing it ??

" Low disc space: You are running very low on disc space on Local Disc (C:). To free space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files click here:"

So I click there and it does the disk clean up and then an hour or so later the same error message pops up again....I'm not down loading anything..Im just on this website and facebook???
