Expired means they want more money.

Could be dust or crud on the laser eye inside the drive. You can very carefully use compressed air on the CD drive by the tip of the plastic tube from the can into the drive bay when it's open. Use short, even bursts and hold the can upright. Alternately, you could purchase a cleaning kit / disc.


If this doesn't solve the problem, listen carefully as it tries to read the disc. If you don't hear a very feint *click click click*, it could be the little belt that drives the laser eye has broken. You would need to purchase a new drive. Fortunately, optical drives are very cheap. If you do hear *click click click*, try cleaning the laser eye again.

Fixed that for you. I guess you haven't played around with it since 2010/2011? It's been re-written from scratch, and they don;t sell your private info about what software you install to other companies, like AVG and Avast do. I'd rather pay the $$ up front so they dont sell the info to make it.

I really prefer Kaspersky tho.

Norton 360 is the worst AV on the market. Uninstall the program.

My Norton has expired and I am trying to load a new copy. I uninstalled the old one but seems like my D drive is not working. Any suggestions???. It lights up for a few moments and then nothing. I put in a musical CD and it would not play. Is my drive not working all of a sudden. Please help.
