I would not mind having a meeting at my shop on 421 behind cookout. Just an hour or two session to chill and chat about Linux or computers in general.

Yeah I posted on here to see how much interest is around here for a linux user group. I would like to try and get one started if I could get maybe 6 to 12 people interested in it. I was thinking of maybe putting up flyers to see if I could find more people.

My favorite distros cause I ran them on machines long ago are Fedora and OpenSuSe. But nowadays there are plenty of linux distros that would be good for day to day production use. Linux has matured a whole lot since I started using it long ago.
