Disconnect the AC power then the battery (if you have dropped it you'll need a new hard drive) let it rest for 5 minutes and install the battery and reconnect ac power then turn it on. I highly recommend OC cause he'll tell where he pawned it and i'll get it cheap.

i can fix it for about $800.00 (it involves hitting with a hammer multiple times and buying a new one ... what evers on sale in the $450.00 range and pocketing the difference)
