Yeah, replacing the entire monitor on a laptop is very easy. For nearly all laptop it's 2 - 4 screws, a plastic cover, and a cable connector. No reason to pay a markup on parts and labor.
Moneymaker, sorry for the confusion, lol. I meant that I sent my computer back to Wilkes to my mom so she could take it to be repaired for me and she took it to Double Edge. Their number is in the phone book or just Google it, Im sure it will come up.
I wouldn't let Double Edge work on my toaster. The first and last time I went, they just had a couple of kids working on the computers, and all they knew how to do was basic stuff. Then, they charged an arm and a leg for it.
Call Express Computers instead. I don't know the number, but they're over by the old airport on 268. Or, if it's actually busted, then you can probably just buy a new monitor online and change it yourself.
A few years ago we had one repaired at Double Edge Technologies. I really cant remember how much we paid but it wasnt a whole lot. We were living in Germany at the time and I dropped my new laptop, I couldn't find a place there to fix it so we sent it to my mom who took it there to have it repaired. I probably paid more in shipping and insurance on it than it costed to have it repaired but at least we got it done. Good luck.
do anybody know where I can get my laptop screen fixed? my 5 year old dropped my laptop and the screen is busted on it....but I am not trying to pay an arm and leg for it
