Go to device manager (control panel+system+hardware+device manager) look under network adaptors, if you have any adaptor listed other than "dial up adaptor" your adaptor is already installed
and if it is wireless it usually will indicate that, no adaptor listed look under "modem" with item listed there you can do dial up

if you have to insert the adaptor it will go into the PCMCIA slot and will only fit one way

forgive me if I,m late. if u have a ethernet plugin on ur lp then i would recommmend charter if u rely on lp for xample=bills,

If you have an internet account at home all you have to do is plug in the telephone cord to your phone line at work and sign in on your account dialing the regular phone number. If it is long distance number your work will be charged so don't do that. Your wireless card is probably already in the laptop if you ever want to use it. Not sure though.

my work doesn't have internet at all....it did come with a wifi card....i am not sure where or how to put it in......so does that mean that i can't get internet at all at work.....since they don't have internet

if your work has wireless internet access you can use it there. Did it have a wireless card when you bought it? If it doesn't go to staples and buy one and put it in. Take it to work and click on your internet connection. Click on search for a wireless network. If there is one available it will come up. You can also go to the Coffee Tavern or Talias to test it out. They have wireless there. If you want to use it wireless at home you will have to buy a wireless router.

ok i got a laptop...now what....lmao....how do i get it to connect to the internet so that i can use it at work?? is that possible??
