Lucy first when did she buy it? If she bought it within the past couple of weeks tell her to contact the seller and send it back and file a report with her credit or debit card. If she chooses to keep it I can't help, but maybe someone can.

I bought a laptop off of ebay and got cheated really bad. It worked for one day powering up, but would not connect to the internet. It also took two months for the seller to ship it to me. I found out in just that one day of it powering up, that the seller had took the dam laptop with her on vacation instead of sending it to me. She had stupidly left her saved instant messages to some friend on the notepad. She told the friend that she couldn't wait to get rid of the piece of crap laptop and that she had sold it.

Well I was mad and wrote her. She denied it all and got mad. I said I am sending it back and want my money. She got the computer and didn't pay me pack. I contacted my bank and they gave me my money back right then. Credited it to my account. They then filed a report with her and fought to get their money back. I don't know if they got it, but I got mine. This only works if you use a credit or debit card. You are protected. So tell your sister to consider going this route if the computer is not what she expected. I hope it works out and if she keeps it she can get the problem fixed. Let us know how it goes.

ok my sister also got a laptop when I did we bought them on e bay as a lot....as is....well now she has found that her usb port doesn't work on hers.......can it be replaced??
