Take out the battery
plug it in
Can you boot the PC with the Ac JacK?
if not you need to test the ram.

unplug
remove ram cover
remove all ram sticks

reinstall one ram stick
plug it in
power on

repeat with each stick until it either posts or you give up

Check the charger output with a volt meter, or borrow one with similar output and plug from a friend,

If the charger is good, your problem is most likely the Battery (remove the battery and see if the computer will run straight from the charger) there is also a small chance that the charge circuit internal to the computer is bad. If you are near a Batteries Plus they have generic chargers and batteries in stock and are usually pretty good about letting you try items.

The quickest and easiest way to trouble shoot this type of problem is substitution.

Hope this helped.

My laptop will not charge anymore, how can I tell what to buy to make it work? Ive checked all the plugs/ports and it seems fine, but will not charge.
