Thanks everyone, My husband go home from his Mom house,she lives out of town, and he found a cheap lap top, and he took our hard drive and put it the one he found, and it works great.

When my screen light went bad, I just hooked the laptop up to a regular monitor and used it that way. The manufacture wanted over $300.00 to fix the back light on the laptop screen.

Sounds like the inverter is going bad. You can get them from Ebay at a decent price.Not hard to fix.

May not be the screen. There is a circuit board that controls the screen. Could be that. Let someone look at it first. If it is the screen look on Ebay before spending a lot on a new one.

Replace the laptop, it will cost you way too much money to replace the screen. You could try to look online for the model number or look to see if you can find another laptop that is not working and replace the screen, but your probably better off getting another laptop.

Please I need help. We have a lap top.. The screen has went dark, it is just about where it is so dark, I can't see what I am typibg. What could be wrong, and how do I fix it. Any advice , I would will appreicate it. Thanks
