If your computer has any kind of warranty and you take it apart yourself, then the warranty is void. You can fix it yourself, you just need to be willing to eat the costs if you mess it up. I'm not as quick to take my laptop apart when there is a problem....the desktop however...**** yeah, I"ll take that sucker apart in a heartbeat and fix it lol.

Hire this out or you're in for a world of hurt, my friend.
The money you're trying to save will pale in comparison to the repair bill you may incur from getting it wrong.
You'll save money hiring it out to a competent individual.

Taking a laptop apart is not fun and there are a lot of parts to keep up with. If i were you I would take it to a shop, but for me, I would do it myself.

I wouldnt advise working on it unless you know what your doing; You might mess somthing else up, but I guess if you think you can do it, give it a try. Anyway, I wouldnt run it with it getting hot like that, youtube lithium battery explosion and you will see what I mean . . . .

I have a HP Lap Top computer. The fan is not working and my computer is getting very hot quickly. I removed the 3 screws on the bottom over the fan area but cannot get the plate over the fan to come off. The fan will only cost me about $20. I think I can install it myself. Can anyone tell me how to get the plate off the bottom over the fan without taking the complete bottom off - I hope.
