Thank you Chris! I am now able to see it and just added it to my favorites and it is in the carousel. I knew someone on here would be able to help. Thanks again!

why not just download the instagram apk from here -> http://www.apk4fun.com/apk/869/ visit that website from the silk browser on the kindle and download it and avoid using the es file explorer. When it gets done installing, then simply pull down the drop down menu and tap on the apk you downloaded and use the package installer to install it.
see if that helps.

Chris I have looked every where for it. In the docs, apps, games, books even the downloads tab under web. It is not in any of those places. The only way I can get it is to open the ES File explorer or File Manager and re-download it. It is just crazy. I downloaded Candy Crush months ago in a similar way using some app store i downloaded (I deleted that app store so I can't remember what it was) and was able to find Candy Crush easily. It came up in my games tab right away.

a lot of the apps you side load will not show up on the carousel. You'll need to go to the apps menu up top and look in there for the side loaded app that you installed.

I would like to have functional Instagram App on my Kindle Fire HD. There are apps out there that will let you have a read only type of Instagram such as Padgram, but I would like the full function/regular Instagram app. I did a Google search and found ways to get around it by downloading an app to the Kindle Fire that lets you then download Instagram. I did this, but then you have to download a file finder app. I did that also. The two things I downloaded were ES File Explorer and File Manager Free. I then was able to get the Instagram app. I opened it on my Kindle Fire and it was fully functional and just like on a phone. The only problem is that I cannot find the app on my Kindle after closing it to reopen or add to my favorites. Each time I want to use it I have to go back into the ES File Explorer or File Manager Free and re-download it. I don't like having to do that each time I want to look at Instagram and also it means I have to set my Kindle to allow risky apps to be downloaded. I don't know all the technical terms and really don't know a lot of tech stuff. I just did what the instructions told me to do. I would like to start over and just delete all the stuff I downloaded and then redo it in a way that allows me to find the Instagram app each time I need it. Is there a way to do it and can someone tell me what free app I can do it with and what steps to take? Thank you for any help.
