Java - go to tool, internet option, Advanced tab. If IE6, screen is broken down by groups. Appearance, Browser Settings, HTTP 1.1 Settings, and then hopefully, Sun Java. What verion JRE is listed there, and is there a checkmark beside it?

You can also go to http://www.java.com/en/down... and click on the green 'verify installation' button to see if its actually working or not.

Well Java runs in the background of IE. What version of IE do you have and what windows do you have? Need more info to fix.
