I never had problems with Embarq tech support not speaking english they always had an american accent....however churchlady If you are in the embarq service area which I assume you are when you stated you have Embarq home phone, then you won't have the option of Wilke telephone for DSL wither you can get Embarq DSL or Cable Internet. I strongly prefer Embarq, I never ever had problems with Embarq When I had them. And I miss them Dearly!!!! I have cable now:( and I don't care for it.

I have the charter bundle, cable incuding hbo, and cinemax, on demand and DVR with, unlimited long distance home phone, and high speed internet for around 120 a month.

Wilkes Telecommunications. And their tech support speak English as their first language. I had embarq and when I had tech issues I couldn't communicate with the tech support people. It was frustrating. Additionally, Wilkes has good service and, as you asked, they have a good rate.

I have Charter cable internet. it's 40 a month. My neighbor and I share the connection with a wireless router and split the bill. We both get a good signal.

I have Wilkes Tele and it's dsl high speed. It's either 34.95 or 39.95...really don't remember, I just pay the bill.

We have Embarq and I really don't know how much the internet is itself, but phone plus internet comes to $98 a month. On my phone I have the unlimited long distance plan...I'm sure there are ways to make it cheaper.

I have Wilkes Telecommunications. It is dial-up, but I turn on my cell when I am on line. I never have any problems with it. It may be slower than DSL but I have not had any other type so I do not know any difference. It is $9.94/mo. for 150 hrs per mo. internet.

does anyone know where to get the cheapest internet? i have carolina west wireless, it is 47 per month. wish i could find something cheaper.
