The newer version of Chrome and Firefox do not recognize the code that inserts the emoticons the same way that IE does.

Technically speaking, when you click on something other than the reply field (called "blurring"), and then click back on that field (called "focusing"), IE remembers where you were, but the others don't. What this means is that, when you blur the reply field and click on the emoticon, Chrome and FF don't remember where to put it so they jump back to the beginning.

The only way I've found to correct this is to count each keystroke, then when you click on an emoticon, manually tell it to put it at that position number. The problem with that, though, is that it made each keystroke take a fraction of a second longer, and if you type fast then that's EXTREMELY annoying.

I've been researching this for awhile, and haven't found any practical resolutions. If you've seen another site that uses rich HTML (where you can bold, italicize, etc within the reply field) and that doesn't have this problem, please feel free to send it to me!

I forgot to add, it seems to be only "GW" that I have this problem with.

why in the heck do they always appear at the beginning of a sentence instead of where you wish to insert them???? I have the latest Chrome browser that I use. IE8 works fine, but not Chrome. Please help or enlighten me. Thanks
