ok thanks jason and pcnut...i went to the pc store today and asked som questions honestly i would just rather stick with the simple windows 98 edition just need to find the disk to use..been looking on ebay lol a little pricey tho

If you have a large enough harddrive. XP take a lot of space for it's files.

If you're reformatting your hard drive, then you're wiping it clean and starting over from scratch. In that case, you can install any operating system that you like.

If the XP disk you have is a full installation version (not an upgrade), then you should be able to install it.

ok since i am reformatting my pc that normally uses windows 98 second edition..can i reformat it under windows xp? lol my disk for 98 has been cracked some how, so right now only thing i have available is the xp disk..any help with this is great...
