Free agv, malwarebyes free, spybot sd fee

or avast free

I don't know which program they offer now, and I don't remember what we had through Charter either, 6 years ago, but I would take it if it is free. You can also find out reviews on it by googling the name of the program. My cable company offers us McAfee and ****, its free and works for me!

Windows Defender is all you need. Very good, does not slow your computer down. Running five computers using WD and have no problems.
