Youtube Downloader. Google it and Download it. Watch for what links you click on though and watch what you download for said links. You may get an infection. This however; is a free and infection free program.

When downloading from YouTube, some videos are under copyright protection. Downloading programs seem to bypass this, so be careful not to download illegaly.
The best way to tell if the video is available for download:
The video will have an embed link under it, this means it is not copyrighted.

I don't download videos but if you just want the audio then get WavePad from www.tucows.com (free) $49.99 to buy, you can record the music and convert it to MP3. I have CD burner software called Nero which allows you to burn audio tracks to a CD from MP3s.

What makes me shake my head is that listening to music on Youtube is now perfectly legal and free. It makes absolutley no sense. I will continue to pay for my music until the day I die. The same goes for software, games and movies.

I would not do this. You are stealing from the artist. Pay for the music by getting spotify or Rdio or Mog. If artists stop getting paid then music will die. Who wants to see the end of music.

I use Stream Transport to download the video, and Oxelon Media Converter to convert it to a format that's usable on media players like Windows Media Player, or portable devices. Both are free, and work great.

That program to convert to mp3's is horrible. complete waste of time. I am also not sure why conversion programs are suddenly promoting converting to "mp3" video... when mp3 is commonly used to refer to MUSIC files regardless of the compression algorithm.
anyway, go to www.keepvid.com or http://www.getaudiofromvideo.com/ and just pop the URL of the video in there. If it's grabbable, you'll be able to download it.

Go to the Tech page, here:
http://www.gowilkes.com/tech/
On the right, you'll see "Top Downloads". Two of them are programs to download a video from YouTube.
