This sounds nasty. It sounds like an old fashioned search based redirect virus. Malwarebytes and Super Anti-Spyware will get the grunt of it but that won't fix the entire problem. What PC model do you have. Please call @ 1-828-528-1644 for any help needed.

I have started a new company named Quality PC Solutions and specialize in virus and infections removal amongst many other things. My partner is an expert in software troubleshooting and I am advanced in Software and an expert in hardware.

The sound card problem is probably just what Chris mentioned. Check that it is in the green colored port before doing anything else with the sound card. If you need a sound card replacement I can do that for you as well.

We offer our comprehensive services at a low rate and offer customer service that is unmatched guarenteed. Chances our you will get rewarded with complimentary labor for doing business with us. Were just starting up and gaining customers daily.

The search engines, what square are you talking about? Is it a popup that shows different search engines? More detail would help on that part. Like bennet said, go download malware bytes and spybot s and d for free and run them. Also, if you don't have it, go download ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com and install and run it. It's a very good program to remove history, which could be causing the squares.

The sound issue could be causing from a bad driver, faulty sound card either build in the motherboard or external one. Check the green plug to make sure it's in the correct slot on the sound card.It should be a green hole on the sound card that it goes in. What operating system are you currently running, and what model of sound card do you have? Go into the device manager, and check to see if there's any yellow triangle beside the sound tab. Also you may try to do a system restore on the computer, or if you've updated the drivers on the sound card, try and roll back to the previous driver that you had before.

I'm available for any help that you may need with this, just post on here, or private message me for any questions you may have.

Can anyone here tell me how to get rid of that little square that pops up with 4 search engines in it? It is SO very annoying!!!

Also, I do not have sound on my computer any more. I moved in October, and I can't get any sound. I have tried going into the control panel and checking to see if anything somehow got muted and such, but no success. Can anyone suggest further things I can do to restore the sound, or do you think I may have dome something to the sound card while I was moving. I tried to be extremely careful with my tower. AND BTW, itthe speakers, because I bought new ones, and they work, but there is no sound.
