But p**n sites are bad for having viruses hidden in their pages. Tell him to make sure he uses only the more reputable p**n sites.

Bestbuy replaced the laptop. They said it was the hard drive.

If it is taking you 15 mins to load windows 7 so you can open internet explore and browse the web you are having a serious issue.
Possible causes
Defective ram
or
Defective CPU
The Laptop should be under warranty
If he is suffering poor conections and slow load times in IE it is more likely to be a software issue.
Virus or Spyware

My husband has a new laptop and it's taking approximately 15 minutes to boot and at least 5 to shut down. I have no idea how to help him. My laptop is 4 years old and we are using the same router and internet and I am not having any problems. I have no idea how to help him. Can you help?
