It sounds as if the scanner software is not communicating with the printer. Download then newest software and drivers from kodak and re install

OK
Next make sure it will print, if it prints, check and make sure you are not out of hard drive space
The scanner goes thru the same process for scanning as it did for copying, with the exception of what initiates the process and the output goes to file rather than paper.
If the above are OK reinstall the soft as Bennett suggested, let us know what happens.

Try Scanning Manually (the scan button on the printer)
Will it copy?
(Scan and copy follow the same process with different outputs file instead of print)
scan or copy sequence
light on
alignment lamp jogs back and forth
lamp moves accross document

It doesn't do anything. IT just sits there with the little screen saying 'scanning'.

You may need to re install the printer software... Also does the scan come on and go through the action of scanning? ( warn up, light on, ect..) If so re install the the software

I have a Kodak all-in-one printer, copier, scanner. I have been trying to scan a picture to post on Facebook, and I can't get it to do anything. It says it is scanning, but nothing is happening, and then it gives me a failed message. Any ideas?
