The mozilla EULA is causing your computers to run slow and world chaos. Just switch to Google Chrome. ;)

My mistake, I was of the understanding that it was still a beta release.

"The only reason I mention it is because a lot of websites are going to start fighting Firefox when they officially release their version 3.0."

Mozilla Firefox 3 is a version of Mozilla Firefox, a web browser released on June 17, 2008 by the Mozilla Corporation.

I know that this is totally off topic, and I'm the last person that should be doing that! LOL

Internet Explorer 7.0 is truly very buggy, but you can revert back to 6.5 pretty easily. If you go to http://www.gowilkes.com/cgi..., there's a link on how to do it. I think it's # 14.

The only reason I mention it is because a lot of websites are going to start fighting Firefox when they officially release their version 3.0. Sites (like this one) rely on ad revenue to stay alive, and FF 3.0 simply doesn't allow ANY ads to come through; even the ones that you want to see. I've learned that a lot of sites simply block the FF browser because of it.

I have Norton 360 3-iin-1... ever since I got it, my computer has been much better. But just about everyone I talk to has problems with Internet Explorer =-/ My friend who watches the news all the time said that Microsoft was putting a lot of money towards 'fixing' the problems with Internet Explorer. Until then, I'll stick with Firefox.

But anyway, Quack, if you don't have spyware/virus protection, GET IT. Make sure you are up to date with patches as well.

FWIW, Missy, that probably means that you have spyware on your computer, and Firefox simply isn't showing the symptoms. You'll want to remove the spyware anyway, though, otherwise your computer will just keep getting slower over time.

Here's my favorite (free) anti-spyware program:

Let me add that the problem may be with Internet Explorer... it SUCKS to put it bluntly..,. I used to have the same problems you do... I was constantly having to bring up task manager and manually close internet explorer, then open it again, because after a while it would quit opening links, new tabs, and going from page to page.

I GOT THE MOZILLA FIREFOX browser, and my problems were SOLVED. I can now browse the internet without a pain in the ***! You can download it for free.... just google it!

just realized I didn't answer your question, you will need to go to a local computer store or repair shop to purchase XP, or buy on line.

Some Computers come with a disk that will remove Vista and install XP,
Look at disk that came with computer for a restore or XP install. Also look on the Manuf. web site to see if XP can be obtained there.

If you don't have that, you can still buy a XP cd and install it, be sure and visit the Manuf. website to see if XP drivers are available. If not do not attempt to install XP.
