I don't know how but all of a sudden this morning the problem seems to have resolved after a week. I still don't know if the about:blank I was seeing was a trojan or just a cl*tch in Yahoo mail.

wilkesman; I have two accounts and I can still access one, and my daughter can access hers , all on yahoo. I can't figure out why it seems to be locking up on only this one account. I don't think it is a software problem since everything else seems ok, just Internet Explorer gets really slow at times. When it locks the page it I sign in and click on check mail, the page comes up to about:blank and then the system resources usage shoots up to 100 % and the computer stops responding. I can get in to this account through yahoo front page and delete messages but can't read them. I've been at this problem for days it seems. I'm going to try Spybot and see if that works. Everything else I've read says to delete things in the registry but I don't want to mess with that. One person tolds me this isn't a hijacker just a page holder.

If you have run all of the normal items, spybot, ad-aware, virus check, and it does not pick anything up. You may have a software problem that need to be reloaded/reinstalled. Or you might need to run Hijackthis from http://majorgeeks.com/Hijac... but only after you try everything else first.

Does anyone have an ides how to get rid of this thing? It hijacked my Yahoo mail and it locks this computer everytime I try to access my email account. It starts to load and then stops responding. I've been trying to get rid of it for almost 6 days now. I think I've tried everything I know .
