The win + p combo shows all the options possible with the computer. No need to do anything else but maybe change the resolution which if they are running windows 7 is under screen resolution when you right click the desktop not under display settings like you said.

Chris, you did not give him option on audio. Also, you did not mention displaying on TV only.

1. For video: Go to "change display settings" and you will have the choice to "Extend your desktop", Duplicate" or you can choose to just show on TV or PC. When I connect from my laptop, I choose just to show it on my TV as it will give me 1920x1080 versus my laptop resolution of 1366 x 768.

2. For audio: On the bottom right, click on your speaker icon and select "HDMI Device" as the default,.

Hope this helps

Are you getting an image still on your pc, just not on your tv? Make sure you have the PC set to either expand to the TV or clone the pc to the TV. You can do this by holding down the "Windows" key which is right beside the Alt on the bottom of the keyboard and pressing P. If it's set to PC only it will not display an image on the TV.

1, What are you hooking up your HDMI Cable from and to? ie; Computer to TV, DVD to TV, etc...

2. Make sure you have selected the right Input device. On TV remote, select Input (most remotes)and there will be a list. Scroll through the list until you get a picture.
