Well Flo
It is a good article... In fact in cases with corrupt drivers or system files this is the way to go. It is always best to reformat in my opinion. It is always good to maintain a driver disk or usb for systems you maintain or own.

If you want me to rate the article I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. The links to oem ISO file put it up there with great. I am overly tied so maybe I missed how this is eliminating bloat.I guess the point is not to pay an additional $99 bucks to Microshaft

Based on Win 8 Microsoft needs to develop as many revenue streams as can

I agree with this article 100%, I couldn't have written it better myself. This is more or less the steps anybody thats relatively 'techy' would follow if you gave them a brand new computer with windows 7 on it, or an older one with a valid windows 7 key installed that has issues.

Don't bother to restore to 'factory' defaults, do this instead. If the steps scare you (Do you know what IRQ stands for?), then any of the friendly technically minded people (NOT ME - I hate you all, dont PM me asking for help! I'll pm YOU if you have a case I'm interested in fixing for free) are willing to do this for a very reasonable price. It'll speed even a brand new machine up enough to notice a significant difference in boot time/usability.

Are there any resident techs that disagree or agree with this?
