I don't think that you can uninstall Internet Explorer (at least, not easily). But if Google Chrome is working fine then the problem is that you have either a virus or spyware, so whether you see the symptoms, they're still there. If you don't get rid of them, then your computer will continue getting slower and slower; not to mention the risk of sending private information to hackers.

Please follow Computergeek's instructions on downloading anti-spyware programs. Or, there's a thread just below this one on how to remove spyware. This will most likely solve your problem permanently.

Thanks!!! I downloaded Google Chrome and it works just fine with any search engine.
Now... how do I uninstall my IE?
I looked in my Uninstall Programs tab in my Control Panel... I couldn't find the IE...
Thankssss!!!!

Not sure that is you problem but in case it is do this. Go to Filehippo.com. Once their find Internet Explorer 8.0. Download and install it. There is another browser called Google Chrome. Download and install that one also. It is faster than IE is. After you have them installed see if either one works.I think you may have some spyware on your computer. If you still are having problems then download at least 3 different spyware programs from Filehippo. They are free. After installing all three check them for updates. After updating unhook your internet and scan you computer for spyware. Remove all that is found. Restart your computer and scan again. Hook you internet back up and see how your computer runs now.

Alright... I try to search something on Google, or any other search engine, but when the page pulls up with all the links, it will not let me click on any of the links and then it freezes my computer.
We called Charter and they told us to uninstall the web browser and re-install it... I honestly have no idea how to do it.

Any advise on how to fix it or what it might possibly be?
