Firefox--a little help, Jason?

PK, yes, everything on the site was designed and developed by me and only me (this includes pictures, javascript, programs, etc), with the exception of the chat room. I did have a chat room that I had written originally, but that really needs a dedicated server and it just became more logical to lease one instead.

Well, it is still in beta. I just DL'ed it too, and your right, no formatting panels. Possible it has to be implemented differently to make it work, even still.

My info was from http://developer.mozilla.or...

Jason, did you write this forum software yourself?

Shoot, that's GREAT news! It took forever to get it to work correctly in IE, and I was not looking forward to starting over! LOL

This is a complicated one to explain!

There's a code element called "contenteditable" that has been industry standard for about 8 years. That's the element that I use for those smilies and fonts.

But, after I built it, I discovered that FF, Opera, Safari, and others don't recognize this element. Instead, they focus on a Netscape version called "DesignElement". Unfortunately, this means that I have to completely rebuild the whole thing; one way for Internet Explorer, and another way for Mozilla-based browsers.

So, long story short, it's a bug with your browser.

It's on my list of things-to-do to rebuild it for Mozilla, but since those browsers are really a very low percentage of our traffic it hasn't been a priority. But now that GoAshe is released, once it's running smoothly I'll probably revisit this issue.

Why won't the smilies and the font editor box show up on my Firefox browser?
