You can do the same on TWC. TWC's new software upgrade for the DVR actually worked out well... a lot of the issues I had with the old system were fixed.

TIVO through Directv is that way it's called a "reminder", to let you know that show is getting ready to come on. TWC is not as sophisticated as regular "TIVO", their DVR services are not as good. Also on Directiv if more than 2 shows are scheduled to record at the same time you can prioritize which one will record before the other will on your list!

Thanks a lot cynic. I wasn't sure if I was just looking over it somehow. I don't guess recording it will be so bad. I do like rewinding live tv though

You're right, just let it record it. I don't think there's an option to make it change channels automatically.

If you set 2 things to record at once, though, then it will automatically change channels to one of them when the time comes.

I just got a DVR. On the old remote you could search and highlight a program up to days away and when the time came for it to come on it would switch channels. I have read the users guide and I can't find where it says I can do this with the new one. Does anyone know if I can?? or are you just suppose to record it.
