DVD Player

It sounds to me like the spring that loads the DVD is broken or slipped off. If it were just dirty, it wouldn't make a scratching sound, so SOMETHING is out of place on the inside.

It could just be a piece of plastic that's in there instead of a spring. In that case, you can possibly just try shaking the player real good to dislodge it. I wouldn't recommend doing that to a DVD player that's of any quality, though, because you also risk dislodging the laser.

I have a dvd player that keeps saying that it is loading the disc. While it is doing this it makes a scratching sound. It finally says no disc. I tried opening it and making sure there was no dust. I cleaned the dvd, but it does it to all of them. I tried unplugging it for 30 seconds. Is there a dvd player cleaner you can use to fix it?
