Hey i would say that video capture is not the easiest way to backup a dvd. Best bet is to download you a nice copy of DVDFAB Platinum. Great program and 1 click copy back up and copy protection circumvention. If you need a copy you can always email me at NCspecV81@gmail.com and ill be more than happy to provide you with some information how to obtain this money free.

Hypothetically speaking, the best way to copy DVDs is to use a DVD recorder that hooks into your TV. The ones that have hard drives allow you to bypass the copy protection. But they are pricey ($200).

I am re-posting this for my son as he posted it on Community Voice and this is actually probably the place for it.

Can anyone here tell me how to make backup copies of my dvds? I have the programs dvd shrink 3.1 and I have dvd decryptor, and I have a program called ripit4me, but i dont know how to use these programs together so i can make backups of my own dvd's. With this, I will never have to buy more, I know this is illegal but I am not selling them...please someone help me. Thanks
