Yeah that doesn't work on the phone after 6 mos of telling me it worked they just hadn't gotten the instructions they then tell me this phone can't do it. I asked when i bought it if that worked because my old phone did and it was noce to get it at Walmart.

the cords are to sync with the phone and computer if u have all the drivers installed and a disk with the program on it. u should be able to send the pics bluetooth if they havent locked that on the phone.

Ok but what about the pics how do we get them off. What are the cords for if you can't usse them?

well my guess is that since there is no mp3 player on it it wont work with ringtones. u need the razor phones to do that or one with mp3 player on it. the kyocera slider phones have mp3 player on it but still wont do ringtones. hope this helps

HE has also tried to get pics from the phone to the computer and can't which was the main reason for the cord.
I am so upset by now it is not even funny. WE got these phones when CWW first got them in stock, I asked BEFORE I paid for them if they could bluetooth from phone to phone, was told more than once yes. Everytime I called for 2-3 months I was told they didn't know how and then was told they wouldn't. Now we are stuck with phones we didn't want and can't get picks off or on, or change his ringtones, that I don't care about but when I change the phone the pics are gone. I was told I would have to get the cord for the pics to be taken off, I did now I can't.
Sorry had to vent because this is so frustrating.

It says SAMSUNG CDMA Modem Com 6 under another modem.

If I remember right the 870 won't recognize anything except MP3s but it sounds like you don't have the proper drivers installed. try plugging in the phone then go to control panel. Look under Ports and Modems. let me know what you find.

I am happy with that but hubby wanted a different tone that he had won. We also have some pics that were nice I didn't want to lose. Thanks for the help.

That was my guess to but it wasn't there it also wasn't in the portable devices I am begining to wonder if my computer recognises it, but it does show the device plugged into the USB port but when I try to find it to send the tone to it is not on that list if I am making since.

all i can do is guess
open windows menu (Start)
run a search for yahoo jukebox (bottom of windows menu)
double click to open
find the ring tone right click (opens menu )
click "send to" (opens menu)choose your cell phone
(just guessing it might be there) it will probably need to be plugged in
like i said i'm just guessing

Bought a usb cable for our cell phones and installed the disk I think anyway is said it was successful. Now I can't figure out how to get the ringtones froom my computer where they were saved to the phones. They are saved in something called Yahoo Jukebox which was on my computer. The phone is a Samsung A870 and I am running windows Vista. I am not pleased with the phons or Vista LOL. Any help would be great thanks guys.
