Does not connect to the internet

I make house calls if you would like me to fix this for you I only charge 25 to come to you and diagnose your computer or network problems. I need to know a bit more about the work you had done. Like computer geek said it could be a driver problem or maybe your saved secured wireless network connection was erased from your wap list. http://www.pro-tech.5u.com

Will it hook up by wired connection? If it is not working by wireless and is working by wired then it is a Driver problem. What kind of laptop is it? If it is a Dell I would say it still may be a driver problem. The fact that you said you had it worked on still makes me think it is a driver problem. Most Dells have to have the drivers reinstalled when you do any kind of repair. I would take it back to who worked on it and have them check it out. It isn't anything on your end. He should have made sure it would connect before he gave the computer back to you. If it is a driver problem then they will have to be reinstalled. By not being able to connect to the internet this will be more than you might want to do.

There could be a million different things wrong here. He could have changed the name of the computer or workgroup, he could have changed the IP address of the laptop, he could have uninstalled the wireless card, he could have installed another program that's blocking the internet connection, he could have left a virus, he could have left some spyware...

If you were able to connect before having it repaired then, long story short, the repair guy did something wrong. He should fix this for you, and he shouldn't charge you for it.

We had our laptop repaired. When it came back we pluged everything in the way it is suppose to be, but we get a page that says cannot connect to the internet. It was o.k. before. We have a desk top computer and it works fine. We have a modem and a router. It is wireless. Can anyone tell me how to get it back connected to the internet? Thank you.
