You can connect a variety of devices such as VCRs, document cameras, DVD/Blu-ray players, TV tuners and room control systems to the SMART Board 600i interactive whiteboard system. You can connect most common audio, video and computer connection types to the ECP. http://smarttech.com/us/Sup...15199.aspx
The biggest problem is likely not enough inputs on the projector. First of all, projectors rarely have multiple inputs of the same type. So if the camera uses the same kind of output that the computer uses to connect to the projector, you are facing a problem. Another problem is most classroom projectors are cheaper models and dont have a lot of inputs. So even if the camera uses something else than the computer uses, there is a good chance the projector doesnt have that type of input.
You really need to get a professional involved on this question. Personally, my experience with smart boards and doc cameras is limited (I have to find a way to change that). Normally I wouldnt advertise another forum here in Jason's space, but you need people that do presentation systems on a regular basis.
Try this http://www.remotecentral.co...m/list.cgi . Most are great guys there and their knowledge is excellent. you will still need at least the model number for the projector. But they will also be able to make recommendations to fit your budget. Btw, you are going to need a pro to set everything up correctly.
I am writing a grant for a document camera for my classroom. I had a question as to whether or not I need another projector. Will the projector I have with the smart board work with the document camera? I do not need a separate multimedia projector do I?
