Do a system-restore to a time before your son worked his magic.

Go to the start button (lower-left corner), then "accessories", then "system tools", and "system restore". If you don't see enough restore-points, click on the checkbox to show more.

Due to fine Microsoft engineering, don't be surprised if it takes a surprisingly-long time for System Restore to actually appear on the screen after you've selected it. Be patient. The wonders of Vista!

Unless the keyboard is damaged, this should put you back where you were. And you won't lose any documents you've created...it only affects system files.

My son starting "playing" with the computer when I walked out of the room. When I came back he had all kinds of things pulled up.

I am able to type in my password to log on but other than that I have to use the on-screen keyboard to type on any program. I need use of the keypad back. Help! Thank you!
