I've had the same problem with my system. I had adelphia come out and check my lines all the way to my system. I changed networking cards and checked every aspect of my computer and networking. Good news is that it isn't a virus. mine has finally straightened out or at least i haven't had that same problem with it for the past few weeks. Bad news is i don't remember doing any one particular thing that fixed it. Try running microsoft update and installing any new updates. that's one thing i remember doing. Good luck

You might have a trojan horse, google and download "Trojan Hunter" it has a 30 day limitation on it, but might help your problem.
Make sure that your adaware and avg are updated and rerun them after the trojan scan is completed.

Thanks for all the input.....yes charter reset my modem....the the power and cable lights stay on...the pc light blinks and the data lights blink...and seems like my puter is slower sometimes that others....feel like tossing it outside...lol...or saleing it...anyone want to buy a Sony puter..lol

Take a look at the lights on your cable modem. Kind of look for the "pattern" when everything is working correctly.
The next time you lose connections, look at the modem again and see if some lights that were flashing before are not flashing then.
The one time I had a problem similar to this (a few years ago), it turned out to be a bad modem.

I have....LOOKED...lolll... through the HELP AND SUPPORT.....can't figure it out.....could i still have a virus even though my...AVG scans everyday and comes up with no virus....thanks

I have....AVG.....it runs everyday @ 11:00...no virus found....and i have Ad-Ware Se Personal...Spybot Search and Destory....have tried everything i know.....looded through the Help and Support...HELP

Having trouble with programs...i'm looseing connection several times a day...i called charter.. they said it was a microsoft problem...my internet explorer, my aol messenger, my outlook express and yahoo all shut down and stop running untill i click them back on......need help....... :D
