I have a major virus attacking one of my accounts on my computer...can't even open internet on it...any suggestions? windows live onecare won't load, nothing will load on that account and any virus scans i use claim i am virus free when i know i am not...help!~

You should never open those e-cards because of all the attached spyware and the potential to have your PC corruped by dangerous software.

I actually tried to open this and my anti virus would not open it because it was a virus. If you have good anti virus it should block it from being opened.

I checked this out through Snopes.com.
While you should always be careful about click through links in emails, this is a virus that's been around for several years and it will not 'burn through the hard drive of your computer." According to Snopes, write down the ID for the greeting card and go directly to the website from your browser and enter the ID number there. You can then retrieve your greeting card with no danger to your computer and if the ID is fake it simply won't work.
The email that is circulating that warns against the virus is listed as a hoax email by Snopes. It began after an actual virus occurrence in 2007.

My computer says I have over 280 virus and 1 Trojan Horse but I haven't eliminated them yet. Mabe later tonight. So far the computer is working okay.
