1The problem is the AGERE modem your hp has.
2 your phone line has static on it
3 aol is a pain

I would start by saying the modem AGEREs are cheap I can sell you 2 for 15 if you need one. Or go to walmart and get a US Robotics V.92

2 problems. Dial-up and aol. get rid of them both . . problem solved.

AOL is the problem they boot you often

I have a HP computer, dial up and AOL . I don't know what the problem is but I can be right in the middle of checking my email or just browsing the web and I get booted off. I have to go through the whole dial up mess again only to get booted off again. Can anyone please suggest what I should do? I have lost my religion time and time again over this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
