I highly recommend the right cloud storage solution that has 256 bit AES Encryption Security. To learn more google Best secure cloud storage 2012 or 2013, either one will suffice. Keep in mind it is January so 2012 will give you more results.

You may be able to just repair the bootloader and then remove the infections afterwards. It's quicker to just blow it away & reload however; back up your files using a live linux cd first to a pen drive. You can then scan the files later for infections on another pc.

If the files are infected you can try cleaning them or just remove them with the proper software. Do subsequent scans until the files are infection free then do the same on your entire C: drive to be sure nothing leaked out onto your clean system.

You need to know how to get into safe mode. If you need further assistance please post on my PC Tech Issues Open Thread . I will be more than happy to guide you.

Here is the link to the software.
http://www.isotousb.com/

1.Download the software and install it to the desired location.

2. Run the software on the computer by double clicking the icon that it put on the desktop.

* Do me a favor and hold the windows key down; its the key that's right beside the alt key on the bottom of the keyboard. It looks like a little flag. While holding down the windows key press the pause break key on the top right of the keyboard. It will open up the System information for your current computer. Under the Windows Edition label, what version of windows does it say that you're using? *

* It would be helpful if you did tell us what version of windows you're using, so that way we can give you the correct product key for the version of windows. I also can recommend a program to you, that will tell you the product key on the current computer, and then you can just reuse it.

3.For the ISO File click browse and choose the .iso format of the Windows version that you downloaded. *I would recommend to be on the safe side to download this version --> http://msft.digitalrivercon...-24208.iso <--. * Note that you only get 30 days to register the version of windows.

4. After downloading the correct version of windows, select it from the dialog box that pops up after you click on browse in the program.

5. Choose the usb drive that you want to use under the USB Drive option. Click on the drop down box and select the one that's plugged in.

6. tick the bootable checkbox so that it will boot up the OS when you restart the computer.

7. Click burn and watch the magic happen. * NOTE that it will reformat the USB drive, so make sure that there is not anything on the USB drive.

IF YOU have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

If you don't have a blank DVD on hand, you can also burn it to usb, and then load it off of that. There is a free program called ISO to USB. I would check that out if you're interested in burning it to a usb drive and using that. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Chris

I did not have everything backed up, So How do I do the OS reload.?

chris87

Posted 10:23 pm, 01/02/2013

Do a fresh reload of the OS. I hope you had everything backed up because if you reformat it, you'll lose everything off of the drive unless you are able to use the drive on another PC and transfer the data off of it before you reformat it. The recovery manager loads off of the operating system. No operating system means no recovery.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,
Chris

I pressed the F11 key several times. The screen flashed up "Operating system is missing". Any suggestions on what to do know?

Power off the PC

Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second, until Recovery Manager opens.

Under I need help immediately , click System Recovery

Also, you may have a virus that creates a small boot partition and marks it as active. You will probably need a professional to remove it, unless you have a bootable partition manager (ie, Partition Master). Recently, I have ran across this virus often. Good Luck
