I have been very pleased with Express Computer. Call 973-0300 and talk to Steve. He cleaned my old computer that was disabled by viruses. If (when) I have another computer problem, I will call him.

Before you do anything else, verify for sure that you don't have ANY internet connectivity. Go to Start > Run, type "cmd" (without the quotes), then in the box that opens, type "tracert google.com" (again, without the quotes) and press Enter.
This will run through about 30 lines, trying to connect to every hop along the way. You'll see where it breaks when the lines start showing a * instead of a number.
On which line does the connection break? If it's the very first line, then your laptop isn't finding itself on the network. If it's the second line, then it could be the modem not responding, or the router isn't recognizing the laptop. The 3rd line can refer to either the router or your internet provider, depending on how your router is set up. And if it's the 4th or later line, then it's an internet problem and could potentially be a virus that's eating up all of the available bandwidth.
Come back and let us know where it breaks, and we can take you through the next step. If you can, copy and paste the first 4 or 5 lines into the reply for us, which might help.
Also when you reply, let us know your operating system, too (Windows XP, Windows 7, etc).

Double Edge has always done a great job on my computers. You might also try the tech support form your internet provider. They might be able to walk you through the process of connecting, without having to take in for repairs.
