The chat room is really pretty simple. All it does is submit a form to a database, then reload the page to display everything in the database. It really couldn't be more simple (in the processing, that is).

My guess is that your computer is caching one of the 2 pages in the chat room when it's not supposed to. It's odd, though, that changing the username would solve the problem. My guess is that changing the username was a coincidence, and that you'll have a problem again.

Do you have any "internet accelerators" running on your computer?
