Somehow you can start yoru computer in safe mode. If u can get on another computer ...hold on let me check what key it is its F8 and that allows u to figure out what is wrong with your computer without it blowing up.

That is if it still works. As far as what to do in safe mode. I dont know... you may need to get some free support. THere is a special way you tap F8 just tap it once right when u start it and all your icons come up in a black screen behind them

I have Windows XP and I shut my computer down for 3 weeks while I was away from home. When I brought it back up, I am getting a message that starts out with !6 Bit MS-DOS Subsystem The NTVM CPU has encuntered and illeal instruction.. and then a bunch of letters and numbers. Chose close to teminate the application.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this?
