Charter has started a new pricing structure. You can get on the new pricing now since your contract in running out. Ask about bundling everything and you will come out better. From what I understand the prices are better than before especially for a bundle.

Hey lennox,

If you have a roku box, or some cloud enabled device, you can use Hulu, Netflix, and Vudu for movies. I find a lot of the shows that I watch on cable are also on Hulu and Netflix. They don't come out instantly, but usually after a few days the show(s) are added. Personally I have an xbox 360 and use the built in apps that are with it to access everything. You can pick up a good Roku box, or just look for an app compatible device " I know Samsung makes good devices that are capable of pushing smart apps." Basically it depends on what you watch now compared to what will be available in the alternative methods.

Depending on what speed of internet you have, have you tried to lower the speed of your package to save you some money? Depends on how tech savy you are, and what phone you ,but you can push your internet through your cell phone, and not have to pay anything for the internet. Note that it won't be as fast as cable, but it will get the job done. Also I have twc and there is a twc place that I go to for anything TWC related. They give me better deals than what I could get if I talked to them over the phone, or internet. For example I have nation wide calling, digital cable with dvr, and 30mb fiber cable, and all I pay is $80/month. Try to find you a place that you can talk to them in person, and see if they can give you some good deals.

Hope this helps you out.

Chris.

Hi Guys. I just realized the tech site is probably the best place to ask this question. I currently have cable and internet through charter communications. In last month's statement, I was informed that my promotion has ran out, and the price I was paying is no longer available

My Question---What are the best options these days for internet and Television. Even though I now have them together, I don't have a problem if it is separate.

Hope you guys will help me to figure out what is the best for the least amount of money. I called a couple of places, and the price they quoted me was as much as my first house payment used to be. Yep, I am old, and definately not interested in paying out the wazoo for internet and tv, but would rather not sit and twiddle my thumbs all day if I can help it--Thanks for any help in advance!!! I really appreciate you guys~~!!!!
