I had to change the subject on this one; I couldn't get the program to recognize the + signs as something besides a whitespace. Sorry for making the subject look so goofy.

There seems to be a bit missing from your post, but I will try to put in my $.02.

C is a good procedural language to learn. A good grasp of it will help as a base for analysis and design. C++ is also a good language to learn, although a bit more difficult to totally master. C++ is object oriented, so you are dealing with abstractions and inheretance. Also, the implementations of C++ are different in the different GUI environments, such as Borland CBuilder++ and MS Visual C++.

I would probably get a basic grasp of C before delving into C++, but this may also have to do with the fact that I learned C before C++ was available.

I can program in C++ a little. I never learned C. Will learning C first help me along with my C++ programming? This is probably a mega dumb question, but I can't find any books on just good ol C. Any pointers?
