As long as we're endorsing software.
Linux operating systems don't really need anti-virus or CCleaner-esque programs.
I now understand why all the Nix-heads I've met were always proselytizing.

Install Advanced System Care from IOBit and it is all you will need with Avast. It does everything Ccleaner and SpyBot S&D does only better, faster, and more thoroughly. It also cleans the registry and optimizes your computer all with a single click. Run it once a day. You can set it to turn your computer off after running so that you can do it last thing, turn off your monitor, and go to bed. ASC will do it's job and shut your CPU down for you. This message brought to you by Bare Computer Service and Repair (336)-981-4421

Nannie, I too have Avast and love it. Just make sure you keep it updated. Do you have any Spyware programs? Also, I recently installed a program that Steve from Computer Express recommended....CCleaner, which I do daily. You can go to filehippo.com to download this as well as some good spyware programs such as Spybot-Search and Destroy. As far as another virus program, I don't see the need in it with Avast. Also, I run my scans once a week, unless of course I get an alert.
