Thanks Radio, It happened again right after I posted, while I was still on tech site. I attempted to post about that too, but that posting never posted.

Hope this one does.

I use Avast. Never had an alert on GoWilkes, but I have on other sites (and no, not naughty ones!) Usually if you right-click on the icon in your system tray, it will tell you the nature of the threat(s), and what was done. Usually no actual danger has been done.

If you're getting false positives, there are settings that can prevent these in the future.

I have been using avast for about a year, and had no problems.

Recently, this has happened, including within the last minute.

Several times on GW. a voice will say, "threats have been detected." No other windows open.

Even more baffling, several times, 3or 4 times, when NOTHING IS OPEN, just the blue screen you have when you first turn the computer on, the same message.

I have been sitting in my living room leaving the computer on, but not open to any site, and I hear this message.
