Actually found some Antec Silver at Staples...Dropped the temp under load by about 15c - so I guess it was time to replace the factory goop!

Anybody know if Staples or Walmart sells Artic Silver or other thermal compound? Can't find it on their website, but I swear I think I recall seeing it for sale at Staples...just dont want to waste the trip...

Or any other local sources for it? I have an old T42 that I'm sure has cooked it off finally. It's hitting 90c under a full load for more than 10 minutes. The fan DOES kick into level 77 (nearly ready to take off!) once it hits 90c and it cools it back down to 75c, but its not good to run that thing at overdrive speed for more than a minute or so. The fan itself is still good, and the airway is clear/clean, so it has to be the contact points needs to be reset...
