And if all else fails use system restore to a time when you know the sound worked. You can always undo the restore if it doesn't fix the problem.

Bennett 78 I got the malwarebytes and ran it. Installed Adobe again and still no sound. Maybe I need to install an older version of Adobe.

Yes, Crypt. Your not hijacking...lol....My sound works with my media player. Just not with YouTube now. Guess I should have left it alone. But the video's was skipping when playing. Seems it just started it after my Windows Updates. I have tried everything. Guess i'll keep trying. lol...It's about to tick me off...

when I run sfc /scannow it says so and so files must be copied to the dll cache for windows to run properly. Please insert your windows xp home edition cd now. I've never had one. Can I download xp home edition from somewhere to a cd or flash drive for free... my XP is legal.

I uninstalled the Adobe Flash Player because it was skipping when playing video's. Thought it might help. Tried to reinstall and now it has no sound. Seems like it just started when I did the Windows Update. I have tried this from many different sites. Still no sound. Even tried deleting my web browsing . It's not in my speakers. I have IE 8. HELP!!! lol
