How can I set the printer into my wireless network. I have a wireless router that my lap top uses and my desk top is connected through a CAT5.

Which operating system?

What kind of wire connections (e.g. FireWire, USB, etc.)?

Do you have the drivers for the printer?

Is the printer already networked for sharing on your wireless router?

Basically, if it is one of the Windows, and you have a USB or FireWire (or if you have a parallel port by some chance on your laptop) connector with the drivers for the printer, you should have no problem.

If you don't have the drivers, you can check the manufacturer's website for the printer for a support and download page to get them.

However, if the printer is already hooked to another computer on the same network you are picking up the wireless signal from, you can actually set the printer to "share". That way, you won't have to even worry about hooking a wire up to your laptop from it. Simply send the print jobs to the "shared" printer.

Depends.. how old is the printer.. if it is USB connected. yes you can. as long as you have the drivers.. if it is serial then you might not be able too..

i need help maybe somone on here can help.can you add a printer to a laptop without being a wireless printer.it has a hookup for one on the back i think.please help i am not sure.thanks
