Ive checked battery and connections. Even plugged in the computer will not stay on long enough to restore. It just shuts down which stinks since the warranty ran out less than 2 weeks ago.

that's what I'd do

charge the battery, check connections to the battery.

first things first

try tapping f11 on start up to do a restore if all else fails

If it is still under warranty take it back or contact Acer. It sounds like a bad hard drive.

My daughter has a acer laptop that is less than 6 months old. Laptop was protected by anti spyware and antiviris. It was working fine and now it wont stay on. Windows starts to load and then just cuts completely off. Computer wont stay on long enough to try to even start it in safe mode. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what to do to fix it?
